OUR CURRICULUM

1: INTERN ONBOARDING

As an introduction to Seminole Strength and Conditioning, the staff will go over intern responsibilities. Interns will review basic exercise technique and coaching cues. They will also be introduced to the technology we use and how they will operate it during lifts. Finally, basic Excel skills will be taught and practiced.

2: PERIODIZATION AND PROGRAMMING

Coaches will go over GPP, general strength, max strength, speed, agility, plyometrics, conditioning, power, corrective exercises and return to play. Using this knowledge, interns will design mock programs and receive feedback from the staff.

3: NETWORKING

Interns will receive feedback on their resume and cover letter. The staff will go over interviewing skills, as well as etiquette for in-person and digital networking. Finally, interns will go through a mock job interview and receive feedback.

4: TECHNOLOGY

Building on the technology introduction from Intern Onboarding, the staff will go over analyzing data and presenting it to sport coaches, athletic training staff and student athletes. Interns will practice selecting their own metrics and generating their own reports. They will do a mock presentation to student athletes, athletic training and sport coaches and receive feedback from the staff.
